# Our Story
Have you ever needed to share a snippet of code in a formal report, an academic paper, or a client deliverable? We did. And we quickly found out that copying and pasting into Word or Google Docs usually destroys formatting, breaks syntax highlighting, and looks unprofessional.
That is why CodeToPDF was born. We wanted a tool that would take raw source code and turn it into a perfectly formatted, syntax-highlighted PDF document in seconds.
But we did not stop there. As developers, we constantly need small utilities — formatting JSON, testing regex, decoding JWTs, or converting timestamps. The internet is full of these tools, but many are cluttered with ads, require you to create an account, or worse, they secretly log your sensitive data. We decided to build a platform that respects your time and privacy.
